What is Mandatum?
Mandatum is software for law firms. It turns a firm's own Word templates into guided questionnaires and finished documents, and it records who reviewed and approved each one. It is being built in the open: every page says which parts exist today and which do not yet.
Is Mandatum a law firm? Does it give legal advice?
No. Mandatum is software, not a law firm, and it does not give legal advice. Documents are prepared from your firm's own templates and reviewed by your firm's own attorneys.
Can I sign up and start today?
Not by yourself. There is no self-serve sign-up. You request a workspace for your firm, and a person replies.
What does it cost?
Every price is on the pricing page. No feature is locked behind a higher plan: what one plan gets, every plan gets. Where a feature is not built yet, the page says so.
Whose templates are used?
Your firm's own. Mandatum does not sell a library of legal forms. Your templates stay yours, and each version records where it came from and who reviewed it.

Is a document ever sent without a person checking it?
No. A generated document starts unapproved. A reviewer at your firm approves it before it can be released, and the person who asked for the document cannot be the one who approves it.

Does Mandatum send my clients' documents or answers to an AI model?
No. Today no client document and no client answer is sent to any AI model. Your firm can also switch AI features off entirely for its workspace.
What exactly is recorded?
Who did what, and when: a generation, a review, an approval, a release, a download, a change of role. The record holds identifiers and hashes, never the text of an answer or a document. Your firm's owners and admins can read and check their own record.

Is there a free trial or a free plan?
Not today. Every plan and every price is on the pricing page, and a workspace is set up for your firm by a person after you request one.
What happens if we need more seats or more documents?
Every plan can add seats at the published price per seat, and documents beyond the monthly allowance are charged per document at the published rate. Nothing moves you to a different plan without your say.
Can the price change during our term?
The pricing promise on the pricing page says what is held for your term and what notice you get before any change at renewal. Counsel is reviewing its wording; until then it is marked as a draft.
What does implementation cost, and who does it?
Implementation prices are fixed and published. We set up your templates ourselves; you are not handed to an outside contractor.
Which security certifications does Mandatum hold?
None today. The Trust page lists each control that is in place with the date it was last checked, and says plainly what has not been started.
