For elder law practices
Patient work, with less retyping.
Documents from your firm's own templates, filled from one set of answers and reviewed by your attorney before anything is released.
Documents your firm can automate
- Powers of attorney
- Health care directives
- Wills and trusts
- Personal care agreements
From your firm's own templates. We supply no forms.
Why automate it
Why this work suits automation
Elder law work often means preparing several related documents for one client, sometimes with facts gathered over more than one conversation. Retyping the same names and details into each document takes time better spent with the client. A questionnaire keeps the facts in one place, and each document draws on them. What each document says remains for your attorney to decide.
Documents
Documents a practice prepares again and again
Examples of what a firm may choose to automate from its own templates. Mandatum does not supply or sell any of these documents, and what goes into each one is for your firm's attorneys to decide.
-
Powers of attorney
Frequent, and prepared together with the rest of a client's documents.
-
Health care directives
Built from a small number of choices, made by nearly every client.
-
Wills and trusts
Often updated at the same time, naming the same people.
-
Personal care agreements
A structured agreement where names, duties and dates change.
-
Engagement letters
One for every new client, from the details taken at intake.
-
Letters to family members
Covering letters that repeat what the documents already hold.
The path
From one client to a reviewed set of documents
-
Step 1
Your client answers once
One questionnaire, sent as a link under your firm's name. No account to create; they can save and come back.
-
Step 2
The answers fill every document
A name or a choice is asked once and used wherever your templates need it.
-
Step 3
Your attorney reviews
Each document starts unapproved. A reviewer at your firm approves it before release.
-
Step 4
The approval is recorded
Who approved what, and when, is written to a record your firm can read.
Status
What is built for this today
Anything without a label is in the product and proven by a test. Anything else carries its status.
-
Template provenance record
Every template version records where it came from and who reviewed it, and the record is checked against the ledger every hour.
-
Guided questionnaires from your templates
In development
Typed questions with conditional visibility, server-side validation and a saved snapshot of every submission. A firm member fills them in the workspace; the visual builder and the client-facing form do not exist yet.
-
Client intake portal
In development
Your clients answer a guided questionnaire under your firm's name, on a phone, with save and resume.
-
Finished Word documents from the answers
In development
Deterministic assembly from a pinned template version, with no unresolved placeholders and the original formatting kept. Runs from the firm workspace; fictional templates only until counsel and gate A.
-
Review before release
In development
A person at your firm approves a document before it is released; a changed answer produces a new, unapproved document, and a withdrawn approval is recorded with its reason. Done from the firm workspace.
-
Recorded approvals
Who approved what, and when, is written to an append-only, hash-chained ledger and anchored off-site every hour.
-
E-signature
Planned
Signing in the same flow. Which documents may be signed electronically depends on document and jurisdiction rules our lawyers review.
What this is not
- Mandatum is software, not a law firm. It does not give legal advice and does not decide what a document should say.
- It does not sell or supply any form. Your firm's own templates are used.
- It is not offered to the public. Your firm's clients reach it only through your firm.
- It does not replace your attorney's review. Nothing is released without one.

There is no self-serve sign-up. Ask for a workspace for your firm and a person replies.
